Win A FREE License Upgrade

Toward a shared community of designs and designers...

Design Intuition is a newbie in the world of CAD. So far, we've been received surprisingly well. Thank you very much for that. We're interested in responding to this sentiment by fostering a community of shared designs and designers, and have devised a possible way to get it started. Would you like it if you could submit a design you are working on into a collection that gets incorporated into these Projects pages? Would you like to try your hand at creating a Smart Object or two and have us include them in the next release of the Design Intuition Library? Would this add a useful dimension to your experience of Design Intuition, knowing that this collection of other designers' ideas might give you that little detail you've needed? The current idea is that, each month we will choose one or more winners and compensate the winning designer(s) with an upgrade of their license by one major version.

Is that too gimmicky or silly? Would you prefer a more straightforward publishing scheme, one where GizmoLab plays less of a moderator role and provides no incentives? Do you have other suggestions? Please feel free to write us via our support form.

What are the rules?
  1. For your submission to qualify, you must own a Design Intuition license.
  2. Your design must be a Smart Object (see below)
  3. Submit before midnight on the last day of the month (each contest begins at midnight on the first of the month).
  4. Submit your entry via our support form.
  5. Include the following:
    1. A picture of the completed work.
    2. A Design Intuition file of your Smart Object.
    3. One or more screen shots of the design drawing, as you would like it shown.
    4. Pictures of the project under construction that illustrate how it was built.
    5. The email address under which you are registered with GizmoLab.
    6. Let us know if we can mention your name.
    7. Any comments you care to include will help us construct a web page.
    8. If your design or Smart Object is copyrighted, please give us permission to copy it.
  6. We prefer jpeg files for the picures and gif files for the screen shots.
  7. We prefer all files to be under 100 Kbytes each (don't worry about design files -- they tend to be very small).

Please feel free to write us, via our support form, with any questions that aren't answered above.

What is a Smart Object?

A Smart Object is a design which can be stretched and customized while preserving the dimensions and relative positions of its component pieces. The help pages and Tutorials have information about this.
