Library of customizable designs (e.g., a coffee table)
To the right is a coffee table included with Design Intuition (one of many designs included in the Design Intuition Library), incorporating mortised skirts. With Design Intuition, you can stretch this design into a dining table, a night stand or a foot stool, with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. The dimensions of each piece are recomputed for you as you drag the mouse. It's quite a thing to see.
Stretch the 2D design and watch the dimension values all change as change the shape of your table. This kind of immediate feedback is built-in everywhere in Design Intuition.
3D view helps you visualize your design
3D view can be tilted and rotated and has "X-ray vision" (illustrated in the drawings at left and below), to help you visualize your design before you start building it
Materials list -- Introduced in version 1.2
Like everything else in Design Intuition, this list will always be up to date with every change you make to your design.
Repeaters -- Introduced in version 1.3
Design Intuition makes tedious repetitive tasks much easier with the Repeat inspector. For example, all three of these doors (illustrated immediately below and to the right) are the same object, simply three different sizes.
Cutting Diagrams -- Introduced in version 1.4
With 2D cutting diagrams, you can organize and plan how you cut and use your materials.
Directly-editable 3D blueprints -- Introduced in version 1.5
By popular request, we've introduced full editing into the 3D view. Our 3D rendering engine is brand-new, rewritten from the ground up. It now offers all the editing capabilities you are familiar with in the 2D view, but in full 3D.
More to come...
We listen to your feedback and are busily developing new features, such as angles and shapes.
* PLEASE NOTE: User testing has revealed that, while Design Intuition is intuitive and quite pleasant to use, some features can't be guessed at nor give visible clue that they exist. Reading our brief and comprehensive User Reference Manual, will reveal Design Intuition's full power and potential.
